In March of 2012, Gordon & Rees continued its national expansion with the opening of its office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the 24th Gordon & Rees office nationwide. The Pittsburgh office is led by Managing Partner S. Manoj Jegasothy and partners John G. Ebken, Marc T. Thirkell and Jeffrey R. Wilson.
The Pittsburgh office is equipped with a team of skilled litigators who specialize in commercial litigation as well as product liability, toxic tort, employment, insurance coverage, antitrust, class action, construction and healthcare litigation. Representing national, multi-billion dollar companies as well as regional multi-million dollar companies, the Pittsburgh attorneys have appeared across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the nation in all levels of State and Federal Court. Members of the Pittsburgh office also have a wealth of experience representing clients in the Long Term Care industry.
Specific matters handled by the Pittsburgh office attorneys include multi-district litigation in the Chinese Drywall cases (in New Orleans, LA), insurance coverage litigation arising out of exposure to welding rod fumes, national coordination and handling of breach of contract cases across the country for a multi-billion dollar company, defense of a large-scale product liability action arising out of a plant explosion, litigation for a national retailer as a result of an internet sales outage, injunctive relief sought for a petroleum company relative to rewards program, and serving as outside counsel handling the investigation and eventual ouster of a national corporation's Chief Executive Officer. Pittsburgh attorneys also handle, on a daily basis, Long Term Care defense cases including elder abuse and neglect, corporate investigations, malfeasance and wrongful death.
The attorneys in the Pittsburgh office are active in and committed to the local community and the Third Renaissance of the City of Pittsburgh, exemplified by the expansion of a national, San Francisco based firm into the Pittsburgh market.
