The Miami office opened in December 2009 with Managing Partner Robert M. Mayer and Senior Counsel Truth Fisher. The office was Gordon & Rees's 17th U.S. office and extended the firm's national platform to include Florida and additional states in the Southeast, and works closely with our other offices on numerous matters.

The office's current attorneys include Robert Mayer who has been practicing law in Florida for more than 25 years; Robin Taylor Symons, specializing in Employment and Insurance matters; Lynn Gollin, who has more than 20 years of experience in matters involving bankruptcy, construction, and commercial litigation; Scott Austin, a board certified Intellectual Property lawyer; and Ari Shapiro, an accomplished toxic tort specialist. Together, they bring extensive litigation and transactional experience to global corporations, as well as national and regional companies.

The office focuses on complex commercial litigation, employment law, intellectual property, bankruptcy, receivership, environmental matters, construction, and professional liability, as well as providing corporate clients with general counsel and transactional advice regarding regulatory matters, compliance, operations, human resources, products, and real estate. As part of the firm's community involvement program, the Miami office supports the National Kidney Foundation of Florida.
