Gordon & Rees Attorneys Selected as
2012 Northern California Super Lawyers/ Rising Stars

Gordon & Rees is proud to announce that 28 Gordon & Rees attorneys have been selected to receive the Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars® distinction in the 2012 edition of Northern California Super Lawyers.

For the third consecutive year, San Francisco partner Michael Lucey was also selected to the Super Lawyers "Top 100" list in all practice areas. Gordon & Rees congratulates Mr. Lucey and the following attorneys.

The selection of Super Lawyers is a result of independent research to determine the top five percent of legal professionals in Northern California.  Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement including verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, position within the law firm, bar and other professional activity, pro bono and community service as a lawyer, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other outstanding achievements.

To determine the candidates for Rising Stars, practicing lawyers are asked to nominate "the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less." The publication's attorney-led research team independently reviews the credentials of potential candidates and assigns points based on a set of defined evaluation criteria.  No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in a geographic region are named to the Rising Stars list.
