Gordon & Rees was founded on the principles of community responsibility and model citizenship. To this day, the founders of the firm continue to be honored for their leadership in dedicating time, energy, and resources to enhance the communities where our lawyers and staff live and work. For example, in May of 2009, Stuart Gordon was honored at the 2009 Citation Award Dinner in San Francisco where the Boalt Hall Alumni Association bestowed upon him its highest honor, the Citation Award. Stu was selected “for his dedication to public service, his contributions to the legal profession, and his support of Berkeley Law.” In addition to giving back to his alma mater, Stu has also given back throughout the San Francisco Bay Area community, serving as past President and Director of The Guardsmen, Chairman of the Juvenile Justice Commission for the City and County of San Francisco, and a board member of the Legal Aid Society of San Francisco, San Francisco General Hospital, and the San Francisco Boys and Girls Clubs.
Throughout the firm, our lawyers and staff participate in a broad range of community activities, supporting many different community organizations and both a professional and personal level. To learn more about our upcoming and recent community service activities, please click on “Activities” above.
