Franchise Group Obtains Important Preliminary Injunction on Behalf of National Franchisor
Franchise Practice Co-Chair Ronald A. Giller and Associate Charles J. Messina of the New Jersey office recently won a motion for a preliminary injunction in New Jersey state court against a real estate franchise and two of its personal guarantors. The court awarded all of the requested injunctive relief, including enforcement of the franchise agreements' provision requiring defendants to assign their telephone numbers to the franchisor if they were terminated was enforceable.
Business Transactions Group Serves as Counsel for Secured Lending Transaction
Gordon & Rees assisted an international flooring products company in amending and restating its Credit Facility with its syndicated lenders. Gordon & Rees was retained as special California counsel for the transaction and provided a legal opinion. Mark Davis handled the transaction and opinion with assistance from Eric Young in reviewing the deed of trust and real property issues under the legal opinion. Rich Clampitt and Marc Ozarski also assisted.
