Corporate Counsel magazine surveyed General Counsel at the top 500 U.S. companies to collect data on each company's preferred "go-to" law firms. Gordon & Rees LLP is proud to be listed as a Go-To Law Firm® for Labor & Employment, which will be published in the 2009 edition of Corporate Counsel magazine's reference guide titled "In-House Law Departments at the Top 500 Companies." This is the second consecutive year Gordon & Rees has received this award distinction.

The firm's Employment Group provides employment counseling and litigation services to world-renowned universities, medical centers and nearly every type of business, from Fortune 500 corporations to Silicon Valley start-ups and non-profits. The attorneys of the Labor Group represent employers in all aspects of their dealings with labor organizations under the National Labor Relations Act and other laws such as the Agricultural Labor Relations Act in California. A prime focus is the innovative development of the optimal culture in the work place to sensitize managers to the needs of the workers in balance with the requirements of the employer. All forms of dispute resolution mechanisms are applied, whether it be in the union or non-union environment, to enhance the working experience and avoid the historic conflicts which de-stabilize the company and lead to costly union, governmental or other stress and disruption. Our labor attorneys achieve remarkable success for clients in union representation matters such as organizing drives, decertification, collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, grievance resolution and prevention training.
