Gordon Endow, a partner in the San Francisco office, with assistance from  Mark Davis, a partner in the San Francisco office, and patent prosecution assistance from Laurie Axford, a partner in the San Diego office, recently closed a multi-million dollar round of venture capital financing for a start-up company through the sale of its Series A Preferred Stock. The company makes nanotech handheld devices to detect bioterrorism hazards as well as diagnose infectious diseases in hospitals and doctors’ offices. Gordon & Rees originally incorporated the client in 2004, and has since provided corporate counseling and licensing services.
